For a diabetic the one simple most important to learn about is the Glycemic Index.
But just what the heck does it mean?
The Glycemic index is a measure on the scale of 0-100 of how long it takes your body to break down and absorb the sugars in the food you eat.
Higher number foods are more likely to set your blood sugar racing up high then crashing down low.
Lower number foods will give a lower increase in your bllod sugar and gradually lower down.
Sounds easy right? But I eat so many different food how will I ever keep track of all the different numbers?
